Academic Staff Biography

Yusalina is a Lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University, with a strong interdisciplinary background in communication, negotiation, and agribusiness. She holds degrees in journalism and communication, library science, and a doctorate in communication with a specialisation in business negotiation. Her academic role integrates agribusiness education with communication science, and she teaches agribusiness negotiation, entrepreneurship, research methodology, business communication, advocacy, and creative brand communication across diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs. She also serves in institutional leadership roles related to academic affairs and student welfare.

Her research focuses on negotiation behaviour, gender and entrepreneurship, and marketing efficiency in agrifood systems. She has led and participated in studies on women agribusiness entrepreneurs, gender bias in business performance, negotiation practices among agri-food entrepreneurs, and efficiency of rice, cocoa, coffee, and livestock markets. Through her publications and community-based projects on MSME marketing, women’s entrepreneurship, and digital promotion, she aims to strengthen negotiation capacity, business communication, and market access for agribusiness enterprises.
