Academic Staff Biography

Eva Yolynda Aviny is a Lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University, and a doctoral candidate specializing in Global Value Chains. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with specialization in horticultural tissue culture and a Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management with specialization in strategic management from IPB University. She has been actively involved in teaching agribusiness strategy, value chain analysis, agribusiness finance, quantitative methods, and operations research since joining IPB in 2007.

Her research integrates value chain analysis, financial performance, and market structure in agrifood systems. She has led and contributed to studies on cocoa company performance using Economic Value Added (EVA), price discovery in live cattle markets, rice farming efficiency, and agroforestry-based crop–livestock integration. Her work aims to improve competitiveness, profitability, and sustainability of Indonesian agribusiness by linking farm-level production with downstream markets and global value chains.

Agribusiness value chains and competitiveness

Analyzing coffee, cocoa, rice, and livestock value chains to understand price discovery, margins, and market power.

Financial performance and investment analysis

Studying firm-level and farm-level profitability, economic value added, and financial sustainability.

Integrated and sustainable production systems

Examining agroforestry, crop–livestock integration, and irrigation to improve food self-sufficiency and resilience.
