Academic Staff Biography
Anisa Dwi Utami is a Lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University, and an Adjunct Professor at Central Luzon State University, Philippines. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Agribusiness from IPB University and completed her PhD in Agricultural Economics at the University of Göttingen, Germany. Her academic background combines strong quantitative training with extensive experience in policy-oriented research.
Her research focuses on food security, price dynamics, agrarian inequality, Islamic finance, and halal agribusiness development. She has led and contributed to major national studies for institutions such as BAPPENAS, Bank Indonesia, the National Food Agency, and the National Committee on Islamic Economy and Finance, covering food reserves, rice price transmission, land inequality, and regional halal indicators. She has published widely in international and national journals on rice markets, farmer productivity, and food systems. Through her research and policy engagement, she aims to support inclusive and resilient agribusiness development and strengthen evidence-based food and rural policy in Indonesia.

Food security and price dynamics
Studying food markets, rice price transmission, food reserves, and market integration to understand how price policies and shocks affect food security and consumer–producer welfare.
Agricultural and regional development economics
Exploring land inequality, agrarian structure, farm household welfare, and regional economic development to support inclusive and sustainable rural growth.
Islamic finance and halal agribusiness systems
Investigating Islamic rural banking, microfinance, and halal agribusiness indicators to strengthen inclusive financial systems and market development in the agricultural sector.
