Academic Staff Biography

Vanesha Miranda is a Lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University. She holds a Bachelor of Economics in Agribusiness and a Master of Agribusiness Science from IPB University. Since joining the department, she has been actively involved in both teaching and academic governance as a member of the Academic Commission. Her teaching covers agribusiness entrepreneurship, cooperatives and institutions, feasibility studies, strategy and policy, quantitative methods, forecasting, and consumer behaviour, reflecting a strong orientation toward applied agribusiness analysis and decision-making.

Her research focuses on market efficiency, enterprise strategy, and integrated farming systems. She has conducted studies on robusta coffee marketing efficiency in Bogor Regency and business strategy development for coffee enterprises in urban markets. She also contributed to a nationally funded integrated farming system project in highland areas, linking farm-level production with broader agrifood system performance. Through her research and teaching, she aims to support evidence-based agribusiness development, improve market access for farmers, and strengthen the sustainability and competitiveness of Indonesia’s agrifood sector.

Analysing marketing channels, margins, and price transmission to improve efficiency and fairness in agricultural commodity markets.

Agribusiness entrepreneurship and business strategy

Examining enterprise strategies, feasibility, and innovation pathways for agribusiness firms and rural entrepreneurs.

Integrated farming and food system development

Studying how integrated production systems enhance productivity, sustainability, and income stability in rural and highland farming areas.
