Academic Staff Biography

Tintin Sarianti is a Lecturer in Agribusiness at the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Economics and Management, IPB University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness and a Master’s degree in Management and Business from IPB University and has been actively involved in teaching, research, and technology dissemination within the university. Her teaching covers agribusiness operation research, project planning and appraisal, quantitative methods, risk, finance, and consumer behaviour, reflecting a strong orientation toward applied managerial and analytical skills. She has also held leadership roles in training and technology dissemination and has contributed to educational governance within the department.

Her research combines value chain analysis, project appraisal, and technology and innovation valuation in agribusiness. She has worked on peri-urban food supply chains, cocoa rejuvenation with intercropping, patent and technology valuation, MSME machinery restructuring, and entrepreneurship cost standards. Through applied economic studies and collaboration with government and industry, she aims to strengthen enterprise viability, technology adoption, and the resilience of smallholder-based food systems.

Research Interest

Agribusiness project appraisal and feasibility analysis

Assessing financial, economic, and operational feasibility of agribusiness projects to support investment decisions and enterprise sustainability.

Smallholder value chains and peri-urban food systems

Examining vulnerabilities, upgrading pathways, and resilience of smallholder-linked food supply chains, especially in rapidly urbanising regions.

Technology valuation and innovation diffusion

Evaluating the economic value and adoption pathways of agribusiness technologies and patents to accelerate commercialisation and impact.
